The owner may request reactivation by submitting an application, specifying the desired reactivation date. Reactivation may take effect no earlier than the third working day after the application has been delivered.
If the mailbox has been deactivated twice during the immediately preceding 15-month period, the owner may reactivate it for electronic delivery only after 12 months have elapsed since the most recent deactivation.
An application to reactivate an electronic mailbox for delivery purposes may be submitted using the electronic mailbox function or in paper form bearing the applicant’s officially certified signature. Paper applications must be sent to:
National Agency for Network and Electronic Services
Tower 115, Pribinova 25
811 09 Bratislava
Slovakia
An administrative fee applies: EUR 10 for a paper application or EUR 5 for an electronic application.
An electronic mailbox is reactivated for delivery purposes upon the request of the person concerned in the following cases:
- where the mailbox belongs to a self-employed natural person, at the request of a person authorised under special legislation to continue the mailbox owner’s business activities;
- where a court determines that a person who was declared deceased is alive and the decision declaring that person deceased is revoked;
- where the grounds for deactivation arising from a decision depriving a person of legal capacity, or restricting their legal capacity in relation to the management of the electronic mailbox and electronic delivery, no longer apply.
In these cases, the electronic mailbox is reactivated free of charge.
