If the electronic mailbox has not been cancelled, the mailbox owner may apply for its reactivation for electronic delivery no earlier than 6 months after the most recent deactivation. The mailbox will be reactivated without delay after the application has been delivered, subject to personnel and technical capacity.
If the mailbox has been deactivated twice during the immediately preceding 15-month period, the owner may reactivate it for electronic delivery only after 12 months have elapsed since the most recent deactivation.
An application for reactivation for electronic delivery may be submitted using the electronic mailbox function or in paper form with the applicant's officially certified signature. An administrative fee of EUR 10 applies to a paper application and EUR 5 to an electronic application.
The electronic mailbox will be reactivated for electronic delivery upon the request of the person concerned if:
- a court establishes that a person who had been declared deceased is alive and the decision declaring the person deceased has been annulled;
- the grounds for deactivation arising from a decision depriving a person of legal capacity or restricting their legal capacity in connection with the management of the electronic mailbox and electronic delivery have ceased to exist.
In these cases, the electronic mailbox will be reactivated for electronic delivery free of charge.
